About This Tea

Start a taste journey to the roots of black tea with our unsmoked Lapsang Souchong, originating from the pristine forests of Tong Mu Guan village within the Wuyi Mountains.

Made with traditional craftsmanship, sans the pine wood smoking process, this black tea shines with its classic dried longan fruit aroma. Upon brewing, the floral and fruity aroma is overflowing, and the bright orange tea broth is refreshingly sweet, with each sip being delicately smooth. A pleasant aftertaste of honey and caramel lingers, making each sip a memorable experience.

*Tea leaves contain tea polyphenols and caffeine, which are the source of the bitter and astringent flavour of the tea soup, as well as the source of the sweetness. Reducing the amount of tea leaves, lowering the water temperature or speeding up the soup can reduce the bitterness and astringency.

Sweet tea from Tong Mu Guan

Tong Mu Guan never disappoints and this black tea is a clear example of this. Smooth liquor with a nice cooling effect, the sweetness of dates in the first infusions, then fruitier in the latter ones, always accompanied by some fresh floral notes, a pleasant chocolate-like bitterness and a super sweet honey aftertaste.
